Photoactivation of latent transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1) promotes tissue regeneration in burn wounds and can inhibit inflammation, reducing susceptibility to infection. Further research is required to assess the practical application of PBM therapy, as the use of bandages in a clinical setting may affect efficacy.
